[July 31, 2012] Thankful for...big luggage! :)  My mom and I are leaving for Zuni, NM tomorrow morning!  Our luggage is pretty full because we have to bring air mattresses, sheets, and blankets, so those items take up quite a bit of room in each of our suitcases.  We are super excited to go, and are praying for a blessed time with our group and with the people of Zuni. :)  See you in a week!!

 

[July 30, 2012] Thankful for...memories.  Today I wore my Grandma's Lindy Star ring.  Yesterday, all of the girls in the family went through her jewelry and picked out a few things to keep.  Each time I wear it, I will be able to think of her. :)

[July 29, 2012] Thankful for...our family being together!  Almost our entire family was able to get together today, including my cousin and her husband and family from Colorado who are here visiting right now! :)  Great times!!

[July 28, 2012] Thankful for...sunglasses!  This morning, my mom, dad, and I went to the Sader 6v6 Soccer Tourney where Scott and some of his friends were playing.  It was a beautiful morning, and very sunny! :)

 

[July 27, 2012] Thankful for...the Olympics!  The Opening Ceremonies were tonight...I can't wait for them to start tomorrow!  If you ask anyone in my family, they would say I'm obsessed.  I say I'm just extremely enthusiastic about them. :)

[July 26, 2012] Thankful for...a sunny afternoon.  The day started out pretty cloudy and gloomy, but the sun came out later, and I headed over to the pool. :)

[July 25, 2012] Thankful for...setting up my classroom.  I went back to my room again today, and was able to get a lot of the furniture into place today, and some more things organized.  It's a long ways from being finished, but it's a step closer to being done! :)  This is my Circle Area, with the fun barn animal rug and seats. :)

[July 24, 2012] Thankful for...soccer again.  My mom and I were both able to make it tonight - it was a really good game too! :)

[July 23, 2012] Thankful for...softball!  Our church has a softball league this summer - they play every Monday night, and it's always fun to watch. :)

[July 22, 2012] Thankful for...The Bachelorette!  My friends and I have been watching it for most of the season, and tonight was the finale...some of my friends and myself really wanted her to pick this guy, Jef (yes, only one "f" in his name!), and she did! :)

[July 21, 2012] Thankful for...new shoes.  I bought these shoes a couple days ago from The Outpost in Holland, and decided today that I wanted to keep them (there were a couple of other shoes out there I liked too).  They will be nice for our trip to Zuni, NM in a couple weeks!

[July 20, 2012] Thankful for...riding in the mustang!  I took Alec, Joel, and Jack out tonight for a ride (and of course ice cream too!) - it was a beautiful night, warm, but not too hot. :)

[July 19, 2012] Thankful for...rain!  It rained overnight a little bit, but rained more during the day - we needed it so much!

[July 18, 2012] Thankful for...the Farmer's Market.  My mom, aunt Joan, and I went to the Holland Farmer's Market today - lots of different veggies, fruits, and other things to buy!

[July 17, 2012] Thankful for...pictures.  Right now I am trying to upload all the pictures from the past 4 months or so to Costco's website in order to get them printed.  Unfortunately, I have about 250/300 pictures that need to be uploaded (mostly from the Tiger's game in April and Washington DC)...so these are the papers filled with which pictures I need to upload....after I get them uploaded and printed, I'll be happier. :)

[July 16, 2012] Thankful for...zucchini...yum!  Bread will be made tomorrow afternoon! :)

[July 14, 2012] Thankful for...my blog!  It's been so fun to do, and each day it has made me think about what things I'm thankful for...some days it's hard to find something to take a picture of and be thankful for, but there's so much that's been given to me, and when I look back at everything, I see that I am so blessed! :)

[July 13, 2012] Thankful for...being home.  Although camping was fun, it's nice to be back home - that also means putting all my stuff away too. :)

[July 12, 2012] Thankful for...my friends!  Several of them were able to come out to Grand Haven tonight...we walked the pier, got some ice cream, and watched the sunset...it was beautiful!

[July 11, 2012] Thankful for...the Conference Ground's pool, because the water was 51 degrees today!! :(  I didn't go in the lake today, but the pool was really nice...51's a bit too cold.  It was 77 on Saturday when we got here, so it's a 26 degree drop in 4 days - crazy!

[July 10, 2012] Thankful for...a walk in the woods.  My cousins Jack and Joel came out yesterday and today, and we went on the Prayer Walk through the campground today.  It's really pretty walking through the woods and the path goes around the whole campground, and then out to the beach.  All throughout the path, there are verses and prayers ideas you can use to guide your thoughts.

[July 9, 2012] Thankful for...a walk on the beach.  The water in the morning is so calm and peaceful...

[July 8, 2012] Thankful for...our whole family being together!  My dad, Scott, and Aubrey were all able to be at the campground Sunday night and Monday...it was fun to have everyone there!

[July 7, 2012] Thankful for...sunsets.  We are camping at the Conference Grounds in Grand Haven for the next week, and was able to see this beautiful sunset the first night already!

[July 6, 2012] Thankful for...Lindy's baby shower!  For the first time in a long, long time, all six of us (Lindy, Annie, Becca, Katie, Becky, and me) were able to get together, and we celebrated Lindy and Al's new little one who will be here soon.  It was so fun playing some games, opening gifts, and most of all, reminiscing and catching up with everyone. :)

[July 5, 2012] Thankful for...air conditioning.  It got up to 100 degrees today...yuck...

[July 4, 2012] Thankful for...the 4th of July!  We went on our annual 4th of July bike ride on the Kent Trails - it was a beautiful day for biking, swimming in the pool, and just hanging out with the family. :)

[July 3, 2012] Thankful for...baby gifts!  On Friday, we are having a surprise baby shower for my friend, and I got this idea off Pinterest - they're diaper babies!  They were super fun to make and I thought they were pretty cute too!

[July 2, 2012] Thankful for...plants.  Since it's been so dry lately, we've had to water some of our plants/flowers more often...I found a small spider web in this one.

[July 1, 2012] Thankful for...the boys' crazy ideas... :)  They are doing new push-ups they saw on tv - jumping push-ups...hahaha it was fun to watch. :)

[June 30, 2012] Thankful for...a beautiful sunrise.  This was taken at about 5:30am...just a little bit early for a Saturday morning. :)

[June 28, 2012] Thankful for...hanging out with Aubrey and Scott!  We headed over to Applebee's tonight for half-off appetizers...it was really nice to hang out with them. :)

[June 27, 2012] Thankful for...Josh Hamilton's story.  He is a MLB player and we heard him speak at the Home Plate program in Detriot before a Tigers-Rangers baseball game in April.  He is a recovering alcohol and drug addict, and is having an amazing season right now.  The article focuses on the times he has relapsed and how his Christian faith has brought him back to what is important in his life. 

[June 26, 2012] Thankful for...soccer!  Scott is on a summer league that plays in East Grand Rapids - it's fun to watch him play again!

[June 25, 2012] Thankful for...some organization!  My Aunt Joan and mom came with me to school for pretty much the whole day today.  We worked on trying to organize and clean my new classroom.  We were able to get some things into cupboards, but there still is a lot of stuff to put away...but that will happen another day. :)

[June 24, 2012] Thankful for...hanging out at the pool.  I love Sunday afternoons in the Summer, just hanging out with family by the pool. :)
