[October 31, 2012] Thankful for...God's protection.  This morning I was rear ended on my way to school, but both of us were okay.  Unfortunately, my car was not!!  :(

[October 30, 2012] Thankful for...meeting Pam Tebow (Tim Tebow's mom)!  My mom and I went to the Right to Life Benefit dinner tonight at the Pinnacle in Hudsonville, and Pam was the keynote speaker.  She talked about her life and the role her faith plays in it, and about her decision not to abort Tim when she was sick and pregnant with him.  It was a really great night, and we got her autograph too! :)

[October 29, 2012] Thankful for...another beautiful fall sunset.

 

[October 28, 2012] Thankful for...pumpkin bread.  My mom baked some loaves this afternoon, and they smelled so good... :)

[October 27, 2012] Thankful for...visiting Alec at U of M!  My mom, Aunt Joan, and I went to see him for a few hours...we saw his dorm, he drove us around North Campus, and then we went to Central Campus for lunch.  After lunch, Alec and his roommate who came for lunch with us, left to go back to their dorm and us girls shopped around Ann Arbor for a few hours - lots of cute shops all over the place!  On the way home, we stopped at IKEA for a while too. :)

p.s. Alec, your arms should be a little bit longer! ;)

[October 26, 2012] Thankful for...my IKEA catalog.  Tomorrow a few of us are going to visit my cousin Alec at the University of Michigan, so we are also planning on stopping at IKEA too...lots of good things to look for!! :)

[October 25, 2012] Thankful for...thinking about Christmas already?!?! :)  I saw these at the dollar store and thought they might be perfect Christmas presents for my kiddos to make - put their picture on it and let them decorate it with glue and glitter...has to be something simple, but cute and fun!

[October 24, 2012] Thankful for...the Detriot Tigers!  They started the World Series tonight versus the San Fransisco Giants...go Tigs! :)

[October 23, 2012] Thankful for...being able to listen to Scott's soccer game.  Tonight was their last regular season home game, so we hooked the computer up to the TV so we could hear it better, and settled in for the game. :)  They won 3-2 after Scott scored on a Penalty Kick!

[October 22, 2012] Thankful for...a cup of hot chocolate.  Tonight was a perfect night for it...stormy and rainy. :)

[October 21, 2012] Thankful for...a new Powerade flavor - I picked this up a week ago and just opened it today...I think it's my new favorite!

 

[October 20, 2012] Thankful for...football and soccer on a Saturday afternoon.  The Michigan-Michigan State game was played this afternoon - it would have been awesome to watch, but Scott had a home soccer game this weekend.  It was one of the last games that is home, and I love to listen to his games online, so I skipped watching the football game this year.  I was able to pull up the Gamecast from espn.com, so I could still see the play-by-play...MSU lost on a Field Goal by Michigan in the last 5 seconds...  Soccer tied 1-1 after double overtime, and this was my view for most of the afternoon, with football muted on tv too... :)

[October 19, 2012] Thankful for...bright colors.  It was a pretty dreary day today with rain and overcast skies, but as I was walking around our backyard taking pictures, I saw these yellow mums...so bright! :)

[October 18, 2012] Thankful for...the Tigers going to the World Series!!!  Woot woot!! :)  Swept the Yankees...soooo exciting!  Can not WAIT to watch them play! :)

[October 17, 2012] Thankful for...skyping with Alec.  I usually get a chance to talk to him every couple of weeks.  We talked about the U of M game, and about going to visit him in a week and a half. :)

[October 15, 2012] Thankful for...my new Spartan shirt - can never have enough Spartan clothing! ;)

[October 14, 2012] Thankful for...making some goodies that will head out to Iowa on Tuesday. :)

[October 13, 2012] Thankful for...the Michigan football game!  Kelly and I started heading out to Ann Arbor at 10am, and got back about 10:30pm - we had a good day (yet super rainy - can you see all the people with ponchos on?!?!).  This throw went for a touchdown!  

P.S. I'm still a Spartan fan though!! ;)

 [October 12, 2012] Thankful for...google maps.  My neighbor brought over some maps for how they get to Ann Arbor and through the campus to the stadium.

 

[October 11, 2012] Thankful for...finally figuring out more about my retirement.  My dad and I went over a bunch of paperwork today and think we finally have everything sorted out from the state...so much paperwork... :(  In a couple weeks we'll meet with the Office of Retirement services and get a few more questions answered. :)

[October 10, 2012] Thankful for...a sky on fire...gorgeous...

[October 9, 2012] Thankful for...my tennis shoes!  Spent a lot of time in them today - Zumba and volleyball tonight! :)

 



[October 8, 2012] Thankful for...Michigan football tickets!  My neighbor has season tickets for the games, in row B!!  They are two from the very bottom, on the Michigan sideline at the 27 yard line.  My friend Kelly and I are going to head there on Saturday!

[October 7, 2012] Thankful for...a nice night for a fire.  My Uncle Bear, Aunt Joan, Joel, and Jack came over tonight for a fire - it was a perfect night!  

P.S. Nice job burning your marshmallow Joel - just the way you like it. :) 

[October 6, 2012] Thankful for...Fall.  The leaves have been turning colors the past few weeks and starting to fall, so our yard is full of red, yellow, and orange. :)

[October 5, 2012] Thankful for...seeing a movie.  My friend Kelly and I went to see Taken 2 tonight and went out for supper afterwards...good night.

[October 4, 2012] Thankful for...Art Prize!  My friends and I headed to GR for the night - we got to the GRAM, UICA, and the B.O.B.

[October 3, 2012] Thankful for...the Triple Crown winner!  Miguel Cabrera won the American League Triple Crown today by ending the regular season with the highest batting average (.330), hitting the most home runs (44), and having the most RBIs (139) - hopefully they can go a ways in the postseason! :)
