[January 22, 2012] Thankful for...Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.  Today is the day that our church celebrated all the babies born in our church in 2011.  It is also the day that we remember those who did not get a chance to live their lives.  In front of church this morning, there was a basket full of 3,000 rose petals, representing the approximately 3,000 babies that were aborted in Grand Rapids, MI last year...three thousand in one city...unimaginable.  Towards the end of the service, those rose petals were sprinkled on the front steps of the church, and to see them was heartbreaking.  I'm thankful that we have days like today so that we can remember this is happening and that it is our responsibility to help by supporting ministries like Right to Life and Family LIFE Center of West Michigan.  "Anyone who welcomes the little child in my name, welcomes Me."
