Thankful for...Rosy Mounds! My friend Katie and I headed out to Rosy Mounds Park in Grand Haven and hiked out to the beach - it was a beautiful night!
Almost there!!
Thankful for...Memorial Day. We hung out with Aunt Joan, Uncle Bear, and the boys...it was a gorgeous weekend! It included a fire, Reeses' smores, and a game of Ready! Set! Spaghetti! Yes, we are dorky and play childhood board games, but this is one of our favorites! ;)
Thankful for...going to Berlin Raceway with my dad. We went to see the Super Sprints in Marne. These are the fastest cars that race at Berlin - they get around the track in 14-16 seconds, and the fastest car of the night went 12.84 seconds in qualifying...so crazy!
In one of the late model races, there was even a Mustang!
Thankful for...my mom! We celebrated Mother's Day by doing our annual trip to Holland State Park - it was a little chilly out there! ;) We stopped at Centennial Park on the way home too - since it was cool and windy out, the tulips were mostly closed up, but still pretty.
Thankful for...starting the rest of my Master's classes. I'm excited to get these last few classes started - I only have three more to do in order to finish. I am taking two this summer, and one started on May 6, so it's back to the books for a while and remembering how to write papers. ;)
Thankful for...going to the Whitecaps game! My mom, Aunt Joan, and I went on Saturday, the 4th to the game, and to attend the Home Plate program. This is something I've gone to before at a Tiger's game, and it gives players and other sports professionals a chance to share their testimony. At the Whitecaps, the main speakers were Frank Tanana, a former Tiger's player, and Kirk Cousins, from the Washington Redskins. It was neat to hear them give their testimony and talk about their faith. And it was a beautiful afternoon and night too! :)
Thankful for...finally being able to wash my car!! It's been washed four times now, and the first three times were by my dad. ;)
