Thankful for...a fun New Year's Eve! I hung out with some of my good friends all night! We started off at Crooked Goose in Standale, and then a couple of us headed down to GR! We listened to some of the musical acts and walked around taking pictures (thanks to Katie for the pics!). Then we met back up with a few other girls and watched the ball drop together! Such a fun night together!
Thankful for...a reminiscent afternoon! Our family spent the afternoon rolling the change that my dad puts into a large bank each day - he either finds the change when he's working or just puts his extra change from the day into his bank, and it slowly adds up. When I was younger, we would count the money before any vacation we would take, and that would be some of our "fun money" for the trip. We haven't counted the change for a long, long time, so there was quite a bit in there - over $375! Pennies, nickels, dimes, and especially quarters added up quickly, but no trips are scheduled right now...so to the bank it went. ;)
Thankful for...a wonderful Christmas party! My dad's side of the family got together the Saturday between Christmas and New Year's - it was fun to see everyone who was able to make it! :)
Some of the decorations on the tables
Basketball
Ally watching the boys play ball
She was so happy that night!
Watching a video made up of pictures of my dad and his siblings, parents, cousins, aunts and uncles - so neat to see all these old pictures!
Always have to play bingo :)
Game of Elimination!
Thankful for...a fun night out with friends! Some of us headed to P.F. Changs for supper, and then hung out at night and played games - I'm so blessed to have a great group of friends who are still able to get together with each other!
Thankful for...a day to celebrate Christ's birth.
This is how most of our family pictures turn out at first - notice Scott's face...
the cousins... :)
Thankful for...a beautiful sunrise reflected on the snow Christmas Eve morning.
Thankful for...being blessed this Christmas season. I'm so thankful for everything that our family has been provided with this year and our ability to spend the holidays together.
Thankful for...Scott's birthday! This is the first time since high school that he's actually been home for his birthday because it typically fell during exam week in college...it was fun to celebrate with him!
Thankful for...materials for school. I made some stampers with old film canisters (yes, they are useful for something!) and hot glue, and did the first step for some popsicle Christmas trees the kids are making.
Thankful for...working on some Christmas presents for friends and co-workers! I tried a new project this year for giving candy away - spray painting Christmas tins. They took more work than I expected, but think they turned out really nice! And I made a few more fabric star ornaments with buttons...these buttons are from my Grandma Beute and her mom, so they're pretty old! It's really neat to think back to what these buttons might have been on and how old they are!
Thankful for...a day making Christmas candy! Mom, Aubrey, and I headed over to Aunt Joan's to make candy today...peanut butter balls, chocolate covered cherries, peppermint patties, and more! I forgot to take a picture of our finished products, but we went home with a lot of things to give away! :) Here's a picture of me and Jack, taking a break. ;)
